He’s the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Thomas James Capital, a private equity firm that provides financial advisory services. He also serves as chairman of the Board for The Leaf Group and Nutravail Corporation, and as chair emeritus of Saint Mary’s board of Trustees and Regents.

Jim and his wife have two sons.

What motivates your desire to give back?

As my professional career was winding down, it was clear to me that I wanted to spend my senior years serving our community.

Why are you supporting the medical center? 

I believe there is nothing more vital and important to our community than quality health care for the rapidly growing South Orange County.

Why did you agree to join the foundation board?

I’ve always been in awe of our Mission Hospital Foundation and how they’ve funded so many improvements and additions for our two Hospital campuses.
