He is the founder and president of Index Fund Advisors, Inc., a nationally registered investment adviser. He’s also the author of the book titled Index Funds: The 12-Step Recovery Program for Active Investors, which was nominated by an investment professional as one of the three all-time greatest investment books, along with the writings of John Bogle and Warren Buffett.

Mark and his wife have 4 children and 3 granddaughters.

What motivates your desire to give back?
My wife Beth and I are motivated by the joy of giving and the added benefits of having high quality healthcare in our community.

Why are you supporting the medical center?
We both have medical career backgrounds as a pharmacist and a nurse and want to give back to the field where we spent so many of our early years.

Why did you agree to join the foundation board?
I felt that I could share and apply my business and finance experience to help the foundation.
