Donor support brings the latest to our community
Where you get cardiovascular care matters. Thanks to tremendous community partnership, those who count on Providence Mission Hospital receive world-class care to prevent, diagnose and treat heart and vascular conditions. Our cardiovascular programs, focusing on advanced technology, leading-edge research and a highly skilled caregiving staff, have earned national recognition from organizations such as The Joint Commission®, American Heart Association, American Stroke Association, Healthgrades® and Women’s Choice Award®.
Advancing diagnosis and treatment
According to the CDC, nearly half of U.S. adults have some form of cardiovascular disease. At Providence Mission Hospital, we’re turning the tables on heart disease with four ultramodern cardiac catheterization (cath) labs, where doctors perform minimally invasive tests and advanced cardiac procedures to diagnose and treat cardiovascular diseases.
The addition of four next-generation cardiac cath labs will provide optimal visualization, yield less radiation exposure and expand patient capacity. With this access, our team of specialized cardiac experts can diagnose and treat blockages and other problems in the arteries, often without invasive surgery.
You can help
Providence Mission Hospital Foundation has a philanthropic goal to raise funds that will aid in the upgrade of our specialty cath labs.
- Electrophysiology lab will contain high-tech equipment used to monitor and map the electrical systems of the heart as well as treat heart rhythm problems called arrhythmias.
- Cardiovascular lab will produce very clear and accurate pictures of the blood vessels and help define treatment options. Physicians can combine diagnosis and treatment in a single procedure.
With your support, we can continue to provide lifesaving cardiac care for our south Orange County loved ones and neighbors. For more information on how you can help, contact Kathleen Patrick, philanthropy director, at 949-365-3844 or Kathleen.Patrick@providence.org.
