Nursing Excellence
Mission Hospital Foundation is committed to providing advanced training to nurses within their service lines, as well as scholarships for caregivers who desire to become nurses.
What Inspires You?
Nursing professionals bring a rare combination of heartfelt compassion and comprehensive competence to caring for their patients.
Vigilantly keeping track of patient’s medical conditions, answering questions from family members or consulting with physicians about the optimal course of treatment, Mission Hospital nurses are called on to set an example of excellence… all of the time.
Magnet recognition
Out of nearly 6,000 U.S. health care organizations, Mission Hospital is one of 530 health care organizations that is Magnet designated, considered the highest national honor bestowed upon nursing services at a hospital. Magnet Recognition is a symbol of the hospital's commitment to excellence in the delivery of patient care.
The Nursing Scholarship Program
The Nursing Scholarship Program provides funding for advanced training through conferences and seminars and additional degrees and certifications. In addition, caregivers at Mission who want to become nurses also can obtain scholarship support. All of these are provided as a result of the generous philanthropic support of our community.

“Those of us who live and work in south Orange County know that when we experience serious illness and medical emergencies, Mission Hospital is always ready. It does not matter the day of the year or the hour of night. As our community grows and advances in medical technology take place, our Foundation board supports the hospital so the hospital can continue to be there for us.”
