Meet Dr. Peter Czuleger
A vital link in the Providence Mission Hospital community
“There are very few doctors I meet who are so openly friendly, loving and genuine.”
“His caring for his fellow man, his zest for life, his dedication to helping people…sets the standard for what a doctor should be.” “He cares about you as a person as much as he does as a patient.”
Those are just a few examples of the kind words that patients and colleagues have to say about Peter Czuleger, MD. Dr. Czuleger has worked at Providence Mission Hospital for over 25 years, most recently as an emergency medicine specialist at Mission Heritage Urgent Care.
He’s earned a reputation as a committed physician whose empathy and compassion help him build strong personal connections with patients and all members of the Providence Mission Hospital community.
A recipient of the 2017 Sister Martha Ann Fitzpatrick Vision Award, Dr. Czuleger also serves as a care navigator for the Providence Mission Hospital Foundation, connecting patients and families to our dedicated caregivers living our promise to “know me, care for me, ease my way.”
A former Foundation board member and longtime donor, Dr. Czuleger actively supports the hospital’s mission, both professionally and personally. His wife, Sara Bess, is also an active supporter, joining Dr. Czuleger as a co-chair of the Foundation’s upcoming gala, which will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo.
“I knew of Dr. Czuleger’s compassion before I joined Providence Mission Hospital because of the way he touched the lives of my wife’s parents, who were his neighbors. The Foundation family holds the same devotion for Dr. Czuleger and Sara Bess that that they have displayed throughout a lifetime of service,” shares John Miller, chief philanthropy officer.
