The Impact of Valiant Women
Fashion Show and THINK PINK Breast Health Wall of Honor return
Since its formation in 1994, the fundraising support group, Valiant Women, has focused on advancing women’s health and nursing at Providence Mission Hospital. This year was no different as they hosted the annual THINK PINK Breast Health Wall of Honor event and celebrated the triumphant return of their Luncheon and Fashion Show.
After nearly a three-year absence, the Luncheon and Fashion Show returned to Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club on October 7, 2022, with more than 190 guests in attendance. The beloved event featuring Providence Mission Hospital physicians and nurses as models was an incredible success raising nearly $195,000. With many memorable moments, guests were ecstatic to gather in person and applaud the bravery of our caregivers as they walked the runway.
Valiant Women’s THINK PINK Breast Health Wall of Honor ran simultaneously throughout the month of October at The Shops at Mission Viejo. The event is held during Breast Cancer Awareness month to educate the importance of routine mammograms in support of diagnostic care and breast cancer treatment for the uninsured and underserved members of our community. Attendees are able to honor patients and survivors through a collection of memorable tributes displayed on the Wall of Honor located near Nordstrom. Various department stores in The Shops at Mission Viejo participate within the event, including Brighton.
“We are so grateful for how Providence Mission Hospital goes above and beyond for its patients,” says Michelle Danly, chair of Valiant Women’s board of directors. “This type of commitment requires a large community, and we are honored to support a pillar within Orange County.”
