A Historic Night to Remember
Golden Anniversary Gala Celebration
This year’s highly anticipated Golden Anniversary Gala presented by Rancho Mission Viejo celebrated a significant milestone for Providence Mission Hospital: 50 years of sacred moments.
Postponed from its original fall 2021 date, the premier black-tie event was an incredible success raising over $1.5 million to support the future of health care at Providence Mission Hospital. Inspired by our clinical leaders — past and present — the gala was held on May 14, 2022 at the hospital’s Mission Viejo campus. The Foundation honored eight critical care physicians with the Sister Martha Ann Fitzpatrick Vision Award, sponsored by Jim and Marleen Quandt. The award recognized their heroism in dramatically expanding the hospital’s intensive care capacity to treat the sickest COVID patients with exceptionally high survival rates through the worst surges of our recent pandemic.
More than 400 guests gathered within the 20,000-square-foot luxury canopy to experience a glamorous night of history filled with live entertainment, premier live auction, a spectacular four-course meal and special guest emcee, Zack Krone. The Most Reverend Thành Thái Nguyễn, DD, Auxiliary Bishop, presided over the rededication event.
Thanks to our premier sponsors, the Golden Anniversary Gala was a wonderful tribute to our half-century partnership with our community. Providence Mission Hospital is honored to have had 50 years of sacred moments with you — and we look forward to many more years together.
