Meet Rudy Marquez, M.D.
2022 Awardee, Physician Enterprise – Orange County/High Desert
Dr. Marquez continuously participates in ongoing Providence Mission Hospital Foundation activities while inspiring engagement of physicians and grateful patients. His philanthropic leadership began in 2008 when he made his first personal gift to support the Holiday Gala. A Philanthropist Circle member, his consistent generosity includes supporting the previous Leonard Cancer Institute campaign.
As president of Mission Heritage Medical Group, his advocacy for philanthropy has gained momentum throughout the years, allowing us to recognize the group as a Philanthropist Circle member. The group has consistently supported signature events including the Holiday Gala, Valiant Women Wall of Honor, Valiant Women Fashion Show, Golf Classic Tournament, and COVID-19 Emergency Preparedness Fund.
Dr. Marquez has held multiple leadership roles including chair of the pharmacy and therapeutics committee, chair of medicine, secretary-treasurer, chief of staff-elect, chief of staff, chair of critical care medicine, and he is a member of the board of trustees.
In recognition for his heroism amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the Foundation awarded Dr. Marquez the Sister Martha Ann Fitzpatrick Vision Award at the 2022 Gala event.
